Information
Registration
by Examination -
Candidates
must hold a professional degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university/college. -
Three
years of experience are required, which must be completed before registration
is issued. -
Candidates
with an accredited degree may sit for the LARE before completing the experience
requirement. -
Foreign
educated candidates must have their education evaluated to determine if it meets
the US equivalent. If it does not, you will need to supplement your education
to meet US standards. -
Beginning
April 1, 2009, all new exam candidates must have a CLARB Council Record. -
Transmittal
of the complete CLARB Council Record, including exam scores and verification of
work history, is required prior to licensure.
Landscape
Architecture Registration Exam (LARE) Multiple
Choice Sections The
Multiple Choice sections (Sections A, B and D) are administered by CLARB and can
be taken at any Thompson Prometric
testing center in the United States. Candidates must register for sections A,
B and D via the CLARB website at www.clarb.org.
The
Multiple Choice sections are given on computer. Graphic
Sections The
Graphic sections (Sections C and E) will be administered by CLARB
beginning with the December 2009 exam. The
test location will be announced on the CLARB website. Candidates
wishing to take the Graphic Exams must register with CLARB. The
Graphic sections are paper and pencil.

dates for the administration of the multiple-choice sections of the L.A.R.E. (Sections
